About
Welcome to My Portfolio of Writing and Creative Works!
Since I was a young girl, reading was a
passion I could not escape. I turned this escape into a book blog where for
over two years I read and reviewed hundreds of books—most of which I received
from authors, agents, and publishers in exchange for an honest review. With my
bookshelves overflowing, I spent hours every day reading and blogging.
Unfortunately, my free time drastically decreased once I started college, and
my blog was left barren for years to come.
I found my passion for writing during my first year of
college. I changed my major to Professional Writing from English Literary
Studies. While I loved to read, I found that I enjoyed researching and writing
my own work rather than analyzing and critiquing writings of others. While at York
College, my professors encouraged me that I made the right decision with
their support and expertise. I learned the various types of writing from
creative and non-fiction to professional and technical. In these three years, I vastly strengthened my writing abilities.
Unfortunately, life threw me a curveball,
and I had to stop my studies after my third year and go into the workforce
full time. During this break, I continued to write for fun and read when I had
the opportunity to do so. Trying to not get disparaged by this detour, I earned my Associate
of Science in General Studies in December of 2018 with the goal of finishing my Bachelor of Arts in Professional and Technical Writing.

for almost four years, I gained many valuable life experiences—which as a
writer, we thrive upon these experiences. Since 2019, I have worked as a technical writer full time. In that time, I have learned and acquired years of writing experience in the Quality Assurance and Software sectors.
On
a personal level, I have a husband and two cats that I love dearly. With the
support of my family, I am always pushing to achieve more and create memories
that can positively impact my personal and professional life. From the
adventures of traveling the country to years of marriage, these
experiences help shape my view of the world and inspire me to constantly learn and
grow with each day.
