Information Technology Editing Internship

While a student at York College of Pennsylvania, I was an editing intern for the IT Department from April 2013 to June 2015. During this time, I spent my regular semesters, holiday breaks, and summers working part-time. I attended yearly training sessions and learned many IT skills about software documentation, troubleshooting, help-desk, and more.

I researched, contributed, and edited internal IT resources, how-to articles, Facebook posts, campus-wide announcements, and other IT published materials. I also planned, created, and wrote landing pages and supplementary articles for various software programs (e.g., Microsoft Office, Moodle, Prezi, etc.) and knowledge base articles for both internal and YCP community use. Unfortunately, the IT knowledge base is no longer active, so live copies of these examples cannot be viewed online.
